In 2016 Homehold founder Linz Darlington set about extending the lease on his maisonette in Greenford.

He couldn’t believe how expensive, inconvenient and sometimes unfair the process could be. He set up Homehold to change this for other leaseholders.

Extending your lease is can be both expensive and frustrating.

You have a legal right to a lease extension, but your freeholder will want to charge you more rather than less.

They often start by asking for more money than is reasonably fair.

Our central aim is to make sure you get a fair price for your lease extension.

We charge a fixed fee for the entire process, so you never have to worry about our costs.

This includes the negotiations - however long they take - so you never have to chose between accepting a price that you know is too high, or continuing to fund negotiations.

We only work for leaseholders. Never for freeholders.

There are bad businesses, good ones and then really excellent ones. We genuinely strive to be the latter.

All of our work is undertaken either by Homehold or our own law firm, Leasehold Legal Services. We've realised that outsourcing work to other companies isn't compatible with doing a great job.

Nothing at Homehold or LLS is accidental. Each of our processes is designed carefully and continually honed.

Because both Homehold and LLS are companies that specialise in doing nothing but lease extensions, it means we’re focused on managing your lease extension like a project from end to end.

We’ll have an eye on the deadlines and be aiming to anticipate every step before it’s needed.

Unlike if you instruct a separate solicitor and surveyor, you won’t end up being project manager
