About Us

Homehold is a specialist valuation and project management company that will look after your lease extension from start to finish.

Our aim is to negotiate a fair deal on your lease extension with your freeholder, while offering you a seamless fixed-price service.

Who are we?

The story began in 2016 when our director, Linz Darlington, started looking for someone to help him extend the lease on his maisonette in Greenford.

After a long, confusing and expensive process, he started a company that would work only for leaseholders.

The team at Homehold now includes a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered valuer, experienced project managers and those who have swapped working in Leasehold Reform for well-known West-end firms to concentrate on supporting Homehold's leaseholder clients.

This involves proactively negotiating your premium and freeholder's legal and valuation fees.

Linz set up Homehold with two aims: to ensure that every leaseholder gets a fair deal on their lease extension and that they are properly looked after during the process.

To achieve this, he redesigned the lease extension process from the ground up – bringing the legal and valuation elements of the work into a single service.

A firm believer that customer service in Britain is dismal, Linz is on a mission to change that in everything he does.

Lucy is one of our client-facing specialists. She will look after you as a client from the point at which you start your lease extension, right through to the point at which your lease is registered at the Land Registry.

If you are allocated Jaime as your client manager, she will look after your case from instruction to completion – keeping you updated each step of the way.

She will work with your freeholder’s solicitor and our legal partners to make sure that the process is as smooth as possible.

Jaime is an experienced Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioner, having joined Homehold from the specialist practice at West-end Law Firm Streathers.

She has extensive experience with Lease Extensions, Freehold Purchases and Right to Manage.

Rebecca works behind the scenes, working on the technical elements of your lease extension.

She will be managing the relationship with your freeholder (or their representatives) to make sure your lease extension goes smoothly.

Rob is Homehold’s Head of Valuation and is on a mission to ensure that all our clients pay a fair premium on their lease extensions.

He is an experienced Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer with over ten years’ working in the sector. He brings extensive experience from his previous roles at Cluttons, Andrew Pridell Associations and Montagu Evans.

During the valuation and negotiation phases of your lease extension, Rob will have oversight of your case and is always available to answer any questions you may have.

Rob has experience representing his clients at the First Tier Tribunal, so on the unlikely chance that we fail to reach a fair settlement, it will almost certainly be Rob who will represent you.

Nicola looks after Team Homehold's admin. If we need a little extra information to ID you as a client, or we need to confirm an invoice has been paid it will be Nicola getting in touch.

We’ve honed our customer-centric approach to business through years of running Homehold and other organisations.

We run a businesses which has clear social aims: ensuring leaseholders can excercise their right to an extended lease at a fair price and only paying reasonable costs. Most of our clients will only ever extend one lease, and the process can be complex and contentious. It's important to us that our leaseholder clients are supported through it.
